BASED ON ENTIRE GAME! I am NOT going into detail about this game.it's already up there. I will NOT be going into details for play by play interactions about the game either. I really thought, the main character was going to end the world with his quest to save his love! Fantastic game.Surprise ending! Custom mode for people that want to skip fast. After the demo, not a whole lot of, back and forth.
This game has everything that gamers want. My applause to the, dev's.this is a great game! There has NOT been that many games that have came out lately, that were worthy of 5 stars! I recommend this game to every level of the game players. PS.I have NOT given reviews for a lot of games yet.I'll get there, hopefully.lol. Rated 4 out of 5 by Shecat01 from Fun without being too much of a challenge Details of the game are provided elsewhere so I won't go into it again here. Whats good: It's a good story that at least makes sense, the games are fun and medium to relatively easy, the hidden objects take a bit to find but aren't difficult (all are lists).
So overall, considering what's been on offer lately, especially of you're a regular player, not a bad game in terms of fun. What could be better: - One issue I have is a rather small detail but if you tie someone up, don't leave a knife at their feet.sigh. That takes me out of a game and makes me go 'grumble, grumble.' - The story was good but I really would like some creativity and some new games. I've played many of them quite a few times before. A nice afternoon's game and one that's not too dark for a change.
Prince george's county driving diversion program. Rated 4 out of 5 by skullfun from LOVE CHRONICLES 6: DEATH'S EMBRACE IS A GREAT EDITION TO THE SERIES! Aaron and Ophelia were just about to get married when Ophelia was suddenly struck by a deadly disease.
Aaron has already tried to save his lover using any means necessary, all of which proved fruitless. He is now ready to take one step further into the dangerous world of dark magic.
Now you must help Aaron as he explores the Underworld in search for the Blind Witch, who might be able to help bringing Ophelia back to life! Once again, the Love Chronicles series seamlessly integrates a romance story with a dark fantasy theme.
There is no denying that this sort of storyline has been done a hundred times before. However, it is also worth noting that the one in this game is particularly well done. From the delivery to the dialogs – every part of the storyline is perfectly-tuned. Regarding the gameplay, there is nothing groundbreaking. The adventure is fairly traditional – no helpers or anything unexpected.
There is one extra feature though, which is The Compass. It is not required to use very often, and usually consists of aligning parts of the scene to reveal hidden spaces.
Similarly, the hidden object scenes and the puzzles are not the most innovative types. Still, one can potentially enjoy every one of them since they were all extremely well-crafted and of acceptable difficulty. No HOPA game is complete without a top-rate production. Love Chronicles: Death’s Embrace certainly does not disappoint with its sights and sounds. The visuals feature extravagant special effects and intricate details – all of which are stunning.
Further, the audio delivers the same high quality. The voice-acting is on-point and appropriate for each character, while the soothing music gives the game a magical feel.

Love Chronicles: Death’s Embrace has a typical length of around four hours, which is a decent amount of game-play time for the SE version of this popular series. This installment was not my favorite.
I did however, enjoy playing Death's Embrace and it's worth checking out the previous editions of this series.Love Chronicles: The Spell (May 2010).Love Chronicles: The Sword and the Rose (June 2011).Love Chronicles: Salvation (May 2013).Love Chronicles: Winter’s Spell (January 2015).Love Chronicles: Beyond the Shadows (April 2016).Love Chronicles: Death’s Embrace (June 2017). Rated 3 out of 5 by pennmom36 from BEAUTIFUL GRAPHICS BUT THE GAME DOES FIZZLE A BIT AFTER THE DEMO I have been a fan of this lesser known series from the start, however, Death's Embrace isn't as good as the other games in the series.
I think that this game lacks originality, for the most part, they did a great job in the graphics department, but unfortunately, this is one of those games that fizzles after the demo, becoming almost stagnant at some points. Here's a recap of my review so that you can decide which version, if either, is right for you: Aaron and Ophelia were about to be joined in Holy Matrimony when the unthinkable happened.
Ophelia became stricken with a disease, a magical disease, a deadly disease. Aaron tried every spell, and every potion imaginable, but they all failed to cure her, and the dark Lord of the Underworld collected her soul. Aaron vowed to save Ophelia, if Light Magic was incapable of saving her, Dark Magic surely would! Pack your bags, we're headed for the Underworld to make the devil a deal!
I've always been a fan of this, often overlooked series, which shows that Love is enduring, and has no boundaries, Love will move the heavens and the earth, Love will even enter the Land of the Dead to conquer its gatekeeper, Lord Phobos! I wasn't blown away by this storyline, however, because it lacks originality, and has been written and rewritten about a hundred times, in about a hundred different ways. I wasn't impressed with the Collector's Edition version extras either, or lack thereof, because other than a handful of wallpapers and Vendel dev pictures, the only frill offered is 26 Hidden Heart Signs. You will use only one gadget, a Compass that helps you find caches hidden by magic. The compass isn't used a whole lot, and usually involves aligning symbols or places in the scene. There are no helpers or sidekicks, and I must admit I was a wee bit disappointed that Blaze didn't become my partner in crime, because Blaze is a really well animated, fire breathing Dragon Skeleton, nothing but bone, but really cool! (kudos to the VG animation and 2D graphic artist team!) The Hidden Object Scenes are fairly well done, many of which are more of a Mini Game than a seek and find game.
There are Interactive List finds which expose fragments to collect, Silhouetted Shape finds followed by replacing those objects you found into a different portion of the scene, and Multiples of the same item finds. The Mini Games range from super easy, to medium difficulty, some of the games allow you to choose the difficulty mode of Casual or Hard. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Click on matching pairs of objects. 2) Swap adjacent tile sections to complete the image.
3) Select matching halves of keys, then choose the correct key to open the chest. 4) Restore the compass image by rotating the rings until all the lines match perfectly. 5) Find all of the witches' runes hidden on the map. 6) Press the correct dagger buttons as the falling bubbles pass through them. 7) Drag the parts into the center to complete the design, not all parts are used. 8) Select the scope when it turns green and then select the meter when the bar is aligned to throw the grappling hook. 9) Swap the doorknockers so that the rings match the faces.
10) Examine the scene and find four of each symbol shown during a story. 11) Place all of the marbles in their matching colored slots, pressing on the hexagonal tiles to rotate them. Rated 2 out of 5 by GrannyGruff from Save Another Loved One From Evil Aaron, student of wizard Lucio, loves Ophelia. Ophelia contracts a Magical Disease just before their wedding. Aaron cannot save her. A distraught Aaron is determined to use dark magic to enter the Underworld and get Ophelia’s soul back from the Dark Lord. Good stuff: Lots of the usual game elements – HOPs of various kinds, mini-games, nice blue and grey artwork, and OK characterizations. You have an amulet to help you find hidden magic and a potion kit to help you create potions - to get rid of weeds, for instance.
You also have a choice of Easy or Hard on some of the mini-games. Bad stuff: A very trite story that has been told before - as a Greek mythology tale for Dark Realms, for one example. You have to do a puzzle each time you use your amulet and make potions with your kit. There is nothing new or interesting and the demo was quickly finished in 30 minutes. I can’t recommend what I will not purchase, so please try the Demo for yourself. Rated 2 out of 5 by greenshade from Buyer's Remorse - completed game/bonus It has been a while since I played the CE version of the game but was so anxious to buy after playing the beta and demo. After the demo things quickly took a dark turn and an addition of an evil blue smoke 'helper' and the fun for me stopped there.
Other Love Chronicles games have been quite fun and fantasy. This game for me. Was a nightmare. Had to force myself to complete the bonus game.
At least I think I finally finished it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by SparkleGlow100 from Very enjoyable! As you begin this HOPA, the artwork is unbelievably beautiful and I was immediately drawn into the atmosphere of this story.
The mesmerizing quality of the artwork sadly doesn’t continue quite past maybe 1/2 of the way through, but I still found the whole game play very enjoyable. I still found the graphics somewhat better than the more recent “Love Chronicles: A Winter’s Spell. “ In fact I’m currently playing “Love Chronicles: The Sword and the Rose” which is the one even before, and that has beautifully drawn graphics, sort of like penciled paintings! After playing some 3. games recently and some that are much more on the spooky side, this was a breath of sweet, fresh air.
Lovely, but not blaring colors and relaxing ambient sounds. With the music on low, the whole combination transported me into another land, and I was very happy to be there! In addition, there was a very satisfying sound in the HOPS when you clicked on the correct item, both a mild clunk and tinkle together. Peaceful, tuneful, slow new age-type music. Lots of HOPS for the HOPS lovers and a mix of all kinds! Silhouettes, fragmented, word lists Also lots of puzzles. The only negative thing I have to say about this game is that the ambient sounds (wind, water, birds etc.) are tied in with the music.
I never like that in any game, because I want the option of turning the music down after a while, or completely. All in all, a top quality, fantasy game. Only a little bit spooky and creepy, like skulls, skeletons, some ghosts that ask for help and the morphing face of the princess being taken over by an invading darkness. Rated 5 out of 5 by felinedevine from Intriguing and fun game I want to start off by saying how impressed I am with this game. I was blown away by how well done it is for an se. The premise of the story is not original but it is well done. A prince must go back in time to protect Alura, a would be princess who was turned into a witch by an evil entity.
The graphics are beautiful, as well as the music which I could have listened to all day. There are a total of 5 chapters to complete. The game is quite long and took me about 6-7 hours to finish on casual mode.
The hint system is very good, and actually shows you where you should look by way of a pic of the area. You can teleport to that area by simply clicking on the hint. You also get a journal. I was also impressed by how many areas there are.
I never got bored with the scenery because there are so many. Give this one a try fishies, I think you will be as impressed as I was. Rated 5 out of 5 by denniann2 from great story you are a prince tryng to free a young girl that the evil force is trying to destroy to live. He needs souls to live and the girl's mother's spirit asks you to save her daughter. You have to collect gems and put them in pieces of jewelry and deliver them to the girl to keep her from being destroyed. Played casual.
There is a diary and the hint tells where you need to go and takes you there. The button charges fairly fast as hint and skip. Sequel?.i feel sure. Rated 5 out of 5 by nannanow from One of my favorites now!!
I absolutely love this game! It's one of the few games that I wanted to play again immediately after finishing it. The artwork is gorgeous and the beautiful music compliments the game play perfectly! You can tell that the developers take a lot of pride in everything about this game (as well they should).
Dream Chronicles 3
Each scene fills you with anticipation for what awaits you in the next and does not disappoint. Unlike some other collectors edition games I've purchased; this one leaves you with the confidence that your money was well spent! It was nice and long and you don't feel like you're left hanging at the end. If you haven't bought it yet I highly recommend that you do it now and prepare to be totally entertained for several hours!!
Rated 5 out of 5 by pennmom36 from Turn back the hands of time. The Prince must travel back in time with the help of Lucio the wizard, a time before Alura was an evil witch to collect her mothers 4 amulets and protect her from corruption! This is a beautiful fantasy-magical themed game with crisp colorful graphics and excellent voiceovers. You have the opportunity to catch fireflies and put them into the hint meter but they are pretty quick and sometimes difficult to catch. The HOS are a mixture of list finds, fragmented objects and placing items back onto the scene so that should cover everybody preference.

The mini game aren't new but they are fun such as turning light discs to connect with the main light and turn on all the lights. You will travel to different times and interact with magical plants and creatures, this game is sure to please so give it a try.
